Synchronous AC motors do not required speed-slip induction in order to operate. The rotor rotates at the same speed as the speed of rotation of the stator current; in a synchronized fashion. They are used in high-precision devices such as clocks, timers, modern robots, speed controllers, drill machines and other industrial processes.
